Interested in Consumer Affairs? Want to get the latest behind consumer issues? Find the heat of improving customer services as fascinating as getting Justice done.
We operate a brand new digital platform designed to help consumers resolve their complaints quickly easily and for free.
iRateiSlate is looking for a writer/journalist/reporter to work across the news, analysis, feature and consumer sections, and to produce online news and other forms of digital content for our website.
The ideal applicant will be a hard-working, passionate about their Job person with a keen interest in Consumer Issues, and the ability to work rapidly across different topics and formats – but this is an open-minded operation, and we won’t disregard your CV just because you don’t tick every box.
Above all, we’re seeking someone with a demonstrable passion and talent for journalism, and a keen interest in the Current news trends.
This is a part-time position which is would be home-based although you may be required to come into the offices on the odd occasion. Some evening work is involved around events and press days.
The position would be as part of a intern project and those how can produce quality work would be given the opportunity to continue after a 3 month trial period.
Person Specification: Hard-working, passionate about their chosen field. The ability to demonstrate that they can work without supervision. We are seeking candidates from the UK ONLY. All other countries: please do not be offended if you do not get a reply.
The 3 month trial period would be a Freelance Home-based project where you would be required to write 5 Consumer Related articles each week, the occasional Press Release and other forms of creative writing if needed.
We have structured two different Remuneration Schemes: The first is designed for candidates who would like to grow with this venture and has the potential to Permanently join our team: The remuneration for this as stated above would be as an Intern. However for this we would pay The National Minimum Wage for a three month period and If the candidate is what we are looking for we would be inclined to offer them a Full time position.
The second is targeted for those who prefer the Freelance Lifestyle: This would be on a cost per article, and we would be more than happy to continue with their services if we find that it is a Value Adding Solution for our Venture. In this instance we advise candidates to submit a Cost per Article.
And Please be realistic when submitting your cost per article. Just a rough idea as to what we are currently paying per article is between £8-£10 per article. If your cost are higher than these please DO NOT BID.
We are seeking someone urgently. The last Writer we had was from Freelancer and I cannot stress how much Value she has added to the site. It is unfortunate that we are losing her and after about 5 months with us she has decided to spread her wings. Please bear in mind this is a Long term relationship and we have our systems on how we process payment. For those that are keen on the Freelancer way of payment, I again advise you NOT TO BID.

Thanking you Kindly
Mr Marlon Naidoo
