Set aircraft characteristics in excel file (do you like airplanes?) REPOST

Description

This is a job for somebody who likes airplanes and knows a little bit about them. The job requires working with excel and doing google searches and having a little background with airplanes. For example, if you DONT off the top of your head know the difference betwen a B737 and an A340, then this job is not for you. Ideally, you will have a pretty good knowledge of airplanes, so that if I say "Lear 60" you at least instinctively know that its a business jet.

Enclosed is an excel file with a list of aircraft. Your job has two parts.

1. Go down the list and "expand" the list where necessary where multiple types are included in one row. You will see how this has been done for several aircraft where the "Primary" column has been set. You should be able to figure out what is needed by looking at this column. Basically, we want each row to correspond to one and only one distinct aircraft type, though we designate a "primary=1" row to the most primary or generic type and "0" to less so. For example

B747 is the "generic" with primary=1

and

B747-400 is one of the "Secondaries" for 747-400

there is no science to the above - just do the best you can. we will tell the winning bidder what this excel file is for, and then from there you can decide how to do this. some of the more obscure stuff can be deleted or ignored.

2. This is the longer part. basically ,we want you to go through and add 1 or 0 (true or false) for columns V through AM given on the most often matching characteristics for that aircraft. I'll describe that more in 'description' below.

TO BID - YOU MUST RETURN A SAMPLE WITH THE "BOMBARDIER" AIRCRAFT FILLED IN. I WILL HELP YOU AS YOU WILL LIKELY HAVE QUESTIONS AT FIRST. ASKING INTELLIGENT QUESTIONS IS OK.

## Deliverables

so basically for part 2 of this project you need to fill in columns V through AM. specifically, you put a 1 if the aircraft MOST OFTEN has that characteristic, and 0 otherwise. By "most often" i mean that for example a Cessna 150 will "most often" NOT have a constant speed propeller even though some owners specially modify theirs to have one, so this gets a 0.

Let's go through column by column:

{{{ I HAVE PUT THIS DESCRIPTION IN A TEXT FILE IN THE ATTACHED ZIP }}}

IMPORTANT: YOU WONT KNOW EVERYTHING WHERE YOU DON'T KNOW SOMETHING:

1) ASK ME AT FIRST

2) PUT ? where you don't know instead of 1 or 0.

your goal is to complete the whole table.

IT IS MOST IMPORTANT TO ACCURATELY COMPLETE THE MOST COMMON AIRCRAFT. The others are less important.

If you see any 'obvious' aircraft missing, please do add them to the list.

BE SURE TO SUBMIT THE SAMPLE WITH YOUR BID

I WILL BE MORE ATTRACTED TO BIDDERS WHO CAN MAKE INTELLIGENT COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS, AS I'M SURE YOU PROBABLY HAVE SOME.

_YOU WILL RECEIVE A SCORE BASED ON THE ACCURACY AND QUALITY OF YOUR WORK. YOU WILL NEED TO SHOW ME A SAMPLE AFTER 1 DAY SO THAT I CAN SEE HOW YOU ARE DOING._

Please also give me a sense of your knowledge of aircraft.

Thank you for your bids.
