Project Description

The literature review is a critical analysis in business and management research that demonstrates that the current state of the research topic is understood and supports any conceptual framework (Maylor and Blackmin, 2005). It is the intention that the literature review will demonstrate a clear understanding of the research topic, identify the major studies related to the research area – including the different points of the views on the research topic – in order to identify the research gap, draw clear and appropriate conclusions, and demonstrate the relevance and importance of the research problems (Hart, 1998). The literature for this study ensures a solid perspective on the factors that may support the development of trust and communication in CBAs. The scope of this thesis is to explore trust and communication in CBAs and its effect on the success of CBAs. The implications for post-merger and post-acquisition integration research and practice are discussed.
