**Perfect for RAC Newbies!** I need someone who can respond to very specific client situations (all described in advance with detailed instructions). You need to be able to work on this throughout the day, a little bit at a time, e.g., ten minutes every hour when you are working. No experience is needed! Our clientelle seem to be most active **between 8pm and 2am (Eastern USA)**. I don't care which time zone you are in, but I would like for you to be available at least once an hour during those hours. If you are able to do this, it'll probably only be ten minutes of work each hour. I have a bit of flexibility; if you are only able to work during four or five of these six hours, just let me know honestly, and we may still be able to work together. **This bid request covers twenty (20) hours of your time.** Please _re-read_ that sentence; I spent way too much time with an earlier bid explaining that I was *not* asking for an hourly rate or a monthly rate as the bid; I want to know how much you will charge me for that specific amount of work. That also means that I want you to commit to a figure by using the RentACoder's bid function and formally bid your quote. If you aren't able to understand these directions, then you and I are not a match. (Sorry to be so blunt, but I'm sure you can see that I've had too many difficulties with this in the past.) The *calendar* time elapsed will be variable; I don't know in advance how it will take to spend those 20 hours; my best guess is that it will take four weeks. It may be two weeks, it may be six; I honestly don't know. ## Deliverables You will need to work with our clients by a Web messenger tool and by email, both reactively (i.e., answering their questions) and proactively (i.e., reminding them of the next step if they don't ask a question themselves). All work will be done over the Web and by email. You will need your own Gmail account, but it does *not* have to be a new, separate account if you already have one. I expect that you read this before you bid. My requirements: 1. **Attitude:** When helping our clients, you need to be patient, supportive, encouraging and enthusiastic. 2. **English:** You must be able to read and write English at a high level. I don't care if it's not your native language, or if you're still working on your verbal skills, but writing is key. Your emails will have my signature on them; I want to be able to be proud of what "I" wrote. 3. **Organization:** Due to the nature of our "spoon-fed" approach, conversations will be broken into many tiny bits. The email system being used is not efficient at organizing this, so we maintain a spreadsheet (and soon, a database), in order to manage all of the discussion threads., i.e., You need to be able to figure out where you "were", so you can offer the next step. * * *You will be following specific instructions for clients which meet very specific criteria, so it's ok if you don't have any experience! You will *never* be asked to guess at a response. In fact, it is my intention to automate this process, meaning that this particular task is not a long-term assignment. Here is an *example* of some of the specific instructions that you would have to follow; the selected bidder will be given much more complete directions. * * * > In Tab 2, click the Quote button, which automatically builds a return message with their initial query already quoted. Click on the end of the Body, i.e., after the "[/quote]", hit Enter twice, which yields a blank line, and then copy/paste the following: > Thanks for responding to my advertisement!... > > > > After you've pasted the above, select the user's screen name (near the top of this tab) and Copy it for the step below. > > If you'd like, hit Preview to check your work, or simply hit Submit to send the message. > > The ad which then appears and the overall load time are pretty annoying, and there's no need for you to have to wait for all of that. Once you see the line, "Your message has been sent." (which usually comes up very quickly), you can either close the tab, *or* click Back to the very first screen (their initial query), so that you can delete it using the Delete Message button. > > You can also delete the message from Tab 1, using the "Mark" checkboxes on the right of the screen, and then the "Delete Marked" button. > > Next, go to Tab 4, scroll down to the bottom. If you really want to make sure that this is a brand new person (probably a good idea), search for them using your browser's search function. (Remember that their screen name is still in your copy/paste buffer, so you can easily hit paste to do this.) > > Assuming that they are new, paste their screen name into column A, 0 (i.e., their state is curious) in column B, and today's date to column C. Google should auto-save. > > Next, go to the user's profile (Tab 3), and click on "Initiate a trade with this user". You will get a popup asking for the trade subject; copy and paste the following: > > $20 upon approval for ZeroPricetags > > It should then show "Success!", and then click the "Back" link, which brings you to [login to view URL] > > Under "Requester Notes / Contact" for this trade (which should now be at the very top of the list), click the first Edit. You will get a popup asking for "notes" (URL); copy and paste the following: > > [login to view URL] > > If you like, you can click the "Back" link again to confirm that the "Link" has been added to the trade, but this is really not necessary. * * *I'm pretty flexible and easy to work with. I tried to make sure that this job is as completely specified as humanly possible. If you have **any** questions, *please* ask them! I have found that it is far better to risk a bit of embarrassment than to spend time working on an assumption which later proves to be wrong. Do not worry that a question may seem silly; just *let me know* and I will be very happy to answer you!
