We're preparing a relatively complex table of contents which will contain thousands of entries from past editions of a financial/investment publication for use on a very-soon-to-be-launched website. We would like to complete the project ASAP -- which will necessitate having multiple contractors working on the project at the same time.
Proficiency in written English and some familiarity with financial terms and concepts -- especially related to business and equity investing -- are essential, as is some knowledge of and experience with Excel. Regular communication with us by phone will be required to help us assess the capabilities of new contractors and help them get up to speed.
Because it's a relatively complex project, we don't expect all applicants to be up to the task. Therefore, we'll probably invite selected applicants to work on sample editions and thereby enable us to assess what they're capable of and enable them to get a better sense of the nature of the work and help them and us to set an appropriate rate of compensation per edition (or page or what have you) based on how comprehensive/accurate a job the selected applicants are able to do.
