We are currently looking for a test consultant (either individual or company) to help us in establishing the test strategies and frameworks for our Java J2EE projects. This will be the first phase and if you are proven to be what we need, you will be working with us for any future phases related to testing.
Just a brief introduction to our company. We are an IT software company currently focusing on Java technologies ie J2EE and Android. However, do please note that we may also move to other technologies in the future.
Currently, for every project, we adopted SDLC approach. We get the requirements from the client, analyze and clarity them, implement, test and deliver the project.
Now, the developers and project manager are doing the tests manually. While this works fine for now, we foresee that this will be a problem in the near future. Additionally, as the project is getting more complicated, we appreciate the importance of testing especially on regression and automated testing. Hence for this, we may also want to assign some of our resources to build the testing team.
So, on this first phase, I am looking for assistances on:
1. Suggest the testing strategies and/or framework for one of our projects (Java J2EE). This should include all the testing aspects ie regression, automated, performance, security and etc.
2. Suggest the testing tools that is most appropriate for us ie either open source or commercial. For the beginning, we may be interested on open-source but please do let us know the pros and cons for each product.
3. Establish the starting point for our testing strategies or framework layed out on #1 so that we can quickly move on to the next phase.
Then, on the next phase, after the tool has been selected, we can start implementing the real tests according to the project.
