Project Description

The Africa Centre is a not-for profit organisation that has matters around social change and advocacy at its core. As part of a new initiative of the organisation last year in October we launched Everyday African Urbanism an initiative that looks at macro urban issues in the Cape Town and other African Cities. Investigating important issues around rapid urbanisation in our cities and exploring way so address these matters through small scale, grass root interventions that marry the skills and expertise of artists, nutritionists, urban planners etc.

Our first research output has centered around exploring issues around urban food security – a project we fondly call the FoodLAB. We are currently in a critical stage in our research where we need to produce and finalise dashboards (graphs) to clearly illustrate our findings from our research done in Kanana, Gugulethu at the end of 2012.

Our budgets are rather thin. We have a total of US $130 to complete the work.

The successful candidate should have a background in science ( chemistry and biotechnology) and be adept at drawing up a dashboard of graphs that visually illustrate the findings of the research in an accurate manner. A detailed list of desired graphs will be sent through to the successful candidate. The work is estimated at taking 3-4 days.

If you are interested and available please send through a sample /dashboard of graphs you have drawn up previously in a similar field.
