I would like to build a mechanism to move a 20# object back and forth 100FT horizontally. With minimal modifcation, this same contraption would move the same 20# object vertically.

The "rail" will attach to a strong structure every 10FT or as necessary.

Rail length is 100FT, typical, but can go much longer. Sections must be connected together easily (important feature).

The rail will have two points of contact from the figure being carried. The rail will need to have lateral support at the base so the object will not fall from side to side.

Rail

Aluminum or steel. 100FT long. Tie to larger structure as efficiently as possible. From bottom and/or side

Actuation

Would like to activate with both a timer and with a motion sensor.

Carrier

4-wheels?

Two tubes or bars to support object?

DC Motor

Battery

Solar Charger

Housing

I think the motor, battery, PCBs, etc should be in a stationary housing at the end of the rail

Movement

Cable/string around two sheaves?

We need a Bill of Material, assembly instructions and drawings.

We need commercially available components with viable, cost effective sourcing options for all components
