Project Description

We require the design of a small device similar to the 'Coffin Bank' toys of the 1950's - a small skeleton arm reaches out of a box and grabs a coin, pulling it back to itself.

The device will need to have interchangeable 'skins' to go over the extension arm - replacing the skeleton arm with a doll-style arm, a spider (with one leg connected to the extension arm) , and possibly a snake, depending on the retrieval action.

The entire device must be no larger than 2.5" l x 2.0" w x 0.5" d (able to fit in the palm of the hand) and must operate silently. The trigger mechanism ideally would be sensor operated - LDR or proximity, however further details will be discussed with the successful applicant.

Where possible, the design should use off-the-rack parts and components, and full CAD designs, machining and assembly instructions will need to be supplied for the working prototype and any specialty parts, where required.

The successful bidder will need to supply the above, including two (2) working prototypes and will need to sign a binding NDA before full information will be provided. All rights, designs, sketches and work pertaining to this project must be relinquished by the designer on its completion.

Strong possibility of future projects with increased funding exists for the successful applicant.
