Making a Charging circuit PCB for LiPo 8S/240V
We want to build a small, simple but efficient integrated charging circuit for LiPo batteries, 3S up to 8S in configuration. It should be able to get power directly from a 230V outlet. It should be able to charge the batteries and balance the cells. It should also be able to shut down the power to the ESC while charging to avoid short circuit.
Charge and Balance LiPo batteries up to 8S in cell configuration.
230V 50hz Input
Should be able to be integrated in existing project
2 or 4 Layer PCB
PCB Design using EAGLE
Ability to Switch between charging and “Drive” mode
Short circuit protection
Over voltage protection
The design must use chips from either Maxim Integrated (MAX8804) or from Texas Instruments (BQ2954)
LiPo battery has Positiv/Negative and balancing leads.
