I'm looking to create the simplest possible wirelessly-powered LED device... basically a system that could incorporate some sort of transmitter or emitter that would send out a signal or frequency that could light up micro LEDs when placed either over or near the power transmitter.
The most important features I'm looking for are as follows:
First, the LEDs cannot require placement on to the transmitting panel or device. I guess the best example of this that comes to mind is induction chargers for cell phones. From what I know of this particular technology, it would require the placement of the phone on to the charging mat. I'd like the LED to be able to light when near or over a general area.
Second, the LED itself would need to be in as physically small of package as possible. For example, if it could be kept to about the size of the LED itself, that would be great. I've seen micro LEDs out there... and intensity or brightness isn't critical (it doesn't need to have blnding output capability). Mainly looking for something that can be seen in some ambient light, but it's not going to be used as a flashlight.
I'm hoping to keep power supplies/batteries away from the LEDs if possible - I need these little lights to be as physically small as possible.
Please let me know if it's possible and if you have the capability to make this work. Of course, if it can be done, keeping the total cost of parts/materials/production of the end product needs to be kept as low as possible.
