Hello Designers,

I would like to see a comprehensive plan on how you will design this custom product. Only apply if you can show us a history of design work that is similar to what we are asking for.

I am looking to work with a designer to build the ultimate personal amplifier for hearing loss. I lost my hearing at a very young age and have always struggled with listening to audio. It is especially hard from phones, computers, MP3 players etc……. I would like to build an audio amplifier with a programmable equalizer 7 band equalizer or better! It should be of high fidelity and have some noise canceling technology. Volume control is a must! It should be able to connect to any source that has a [url removed, login to view] audio output jack. It will have an on board battery that will power the circuit. The amplifier should have the ability to recharge from the USB drive and be programmed through a GUI. It would be very help if it could be written in VB. But it is not necessary. Once it is connected to the PC a user should be to program the device and save the EQ settings. They should be able to store up to 10 configurations. Once removed from the computer the person could cycle through the setting by clicking a button. After a short configurable delay an audio beep should be played through the headset or a voice to give an audio feedback to indicate what setting it is in. Looking for suggestions and feedback. I would like to discuss if 1 stage amplifier enough? Is it better to amplify first then equalize or the other way equalize then amplify. Who makes the best audio chips? What software is needed to program the EQ is it possible? Any suggested readings, websites, software, forums, etc……..
