My topic is 'design and development of a micro gas turbine(MGT)'
Firstly,i carried out a Brayton cycle calculation to determine the best cycle for my engine deign which i now need to carry out an Aero-thermal design calculation of the engine [url removed, login to view] engine will be a single radial compressor, turbine also a combustor, recuperator (heat exchange),application power generation ( For more info Check Design of a Micro Gas Turbine [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view]
Secondly,i will then concentrate on one of the component and make some contribute to knowledge which are worth writing papers. I will settle for turbo machine or combustion chamber but i have not yet identified what exact problem to tackle there.
Thirdly, I attached a paper which i am already working on and trying to repeat plus validate from the experimental work there ; as part of the micro gas turbine component; when successfully done i will contribute to knowledge in combustion modeling.I was able to design this model using solid-works repeating the same simulation in CFX but i am not getting the exact results from there paper.
Lastly,Find attached a sample of Thesis on my topic well, this is a summary of my project .
Tasks and Targets::
a) I will provide you with all that i did so far and the CAD design of the CC which i am running a CFD simulation using CFX but not getting the right results which i think it need modification and mesh refinement I am used Ansys CFX for CFD simulation and SW for Design,Gasturb 12 plus Matlab for Cycle Calculations .
b)I will like you to repeat the Aero thermal calculation of the Engine and do a matching process of all the components ,considering the CC design i am working on which they will be couple together to form the mGT
c) I am open to advice and suggestion on how best to carry out this project because this project will be further as my research work and need to focus on a particular problem to solve and make a contribution in future.
