I am looking for a small project to design and manufacture a temperature sensor that is powered via Power over Ethernet. The device would need to operate in cold conditions -10 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit with high humidity levels and provide the ability for an app to poll the device and retrieve the current temperature. There is no need to store more than a day or less worth of readings. The temperature probe can be external if need be and could use a probe that is already available. The device would need to get an IP address via DHCP that existed on the network already and have a very basic interface, but security is not a big concern.
Ideally i would like to get a mocked up design that could be tested and then figure out how to get small quantities manufactured (20-30 at a time). The winning bidder on this particular project would provide us all the drawings and design as well as whatever software is needed to run the device and allow us to poll the temperature. The prototype can be built on any type of circuit board (even if it isn't very pretty) but it needs to work.
