Design and drawings of mechanical sensor arm with Base Clip and Logger Holder.
Project: pH & Temperature Data Logger Sensor arm, Mechanics
I am looking for help in designing a mechanical arm to hold a sensor used in connection with our pH and Temperature data logger units (PTL). The head of the sensor arm will have to hold 2 different sensors types – 1 x temperature sensor and 1 x pH sensor.
The design of the arm must be based on a gooseneck system of a type which makes it so stiff that the weight of the sensors will not move during its operation. By the use of a gooseneck, the arm will be moveable for adjustment of location of the sensor.
At the base of the arm there must be a clip which can be attached to the vat. The Clip (fastener/ wise) must be sturdy and able to be connected to vat sizes from 1” to 4” in thickness. The clip must be able to hold the weight of the arm, the sensor connected and also PTL Logger. Connected to the clip must be a holder for the PTL logger as an integrated part of the design. The size of the logger box is 118mm tall x 78mm wide x 33mm thick. The sensor must be able to reach any point within 16” from the base clip (The use of an 18” Gooseneck).
All design suggestions are welcome as long as they fulfill the requirements of stability, size and the environmental requirements.
The arm will be operating in wet environment in facilities used in the food industry and must be made out of stainless steel. The temperature where the arm will be operating will be from 0 to +70 Degrees C.
The job consists of making the design, modeling and the production drawings of the design, when the design is approved. All model drawings must be provided.
The production drawings should show all side views of items and must be drawn in SolidWorks. The production drawings must be in accordance with US Standards. PDF files of all drawings must also be provided
A modeling of all the items contained in the PTL Sensor Arm must be done to insure that there are no issues with location and sizing.
The price should include the time needed for 2 rounds of corrections of the drawings if such are needed.Get free quotes for a project like this
