Writing PLSQL Code

PROJECT Question 1 : Assume that we have a table with 45 million rows and 800 columns. About %30 of these columns are nominal columns (character based) whereas about %70 are numeric columns. Using 1000 maximum distinct value limit in these nominal columns; a) it is asked to write a plsql code in order to find the column types from the metadata , b) it is asked to write a plsql code in order to calculate the histogram in column base and write this in a table. Example: Table City Gender **** **** **** NewYork Male **** **** **** Boston Female **** **** **** Houston Male **** **** **** Chicago Male **** **** **** Los Angeles Male **** **** **** Lets assume that we have a table given above. Also assume that, one of the nominal columns of the table is named as “City”. Each different city names in the column defines the distinct value. So if there are 200 different city names, this means that the distinct value is 200. Calculating the histogram means, calculating the number of each city name given in the nominal column “City”. Question 2 : For the numeric columns, a data sampling is going to be done with a rate of 100000. As a result of sampling, a subset will be obtained. a) It is asked to write a plsql code in order to sort this subset data as an ascending column format and write it in a table. Beside these questions, it is also asked to report overall resource usage (CPU and memory based) and how to use the paralelism concept.
