Project Description

I need a freelancer to Review an Oil and Gas company's project application. The project is being developed in Alberta, Canada. The review has two objectives. First, determine if the project application has considered all potential impacts to the environment, and if so, are those mitigation plans sound. Second, potential impacts affect some stakeholders more than others. One of those stakeholders are the First Nations people or Native Americans as they are called in the USA. The First Nations people have certain rights (hunting, fishing and trapping) that are recognized in law, and therefore, those rights must be considered in the project application, namely are those rights potentially adversely impacted by the project application. If so, has the project application put forward any mitigation plans, and are those mitigation plans sound. It really is an integration analysis between the Environmental Assessment and the rights of First Nations. The review requires a report and should take 25 hours to complete. The rate will be $25 per hour. nnYou will notice First Nations people being referred to as Aboriginal people. Consultation with First Nations is vey important so when reviewing the project Application always look for facts that show the company did indeed consult with the First Nation community on the project. I will email you a small document on the Consultation policy for reference.
