We have excel based databases used to track and manage the services provided to our clients, these have grown to a point they are impractical/unmanageable in Excel.

We would like to have these migrated into a more advanced solution, SQL or similar based with extensive custom reporting and interfaces for data entry and manipulation.

Once developed to a fully functional application that caters to all our requirements we are keen to develop a web based interface for our clients to have greater visibility and where appropriate self manage their services.

Our business model is along the lines of on sale and management of phone/internet services to large companies.

A single client may have from 100 - 3000 individual services active at any time, these services will each be linked to an individual user(employee), users are spread across varying business units and locations within our clients business.

Each service has a monthly charge that will need to be tracked and billed to the cost centre of the associated employee, the charges can vary from month to month and have additions or credits required in varying circumstances. The system developed will need to be able to generate detailed invoicing and reporting on charges.

The system should integrate with user request forms such as New requests(follow an allocation process flow and create new record once established), Cancellations, Faults, change to service requests. etc. It will be desirable to have the system auto generate emails as required in process flows.

Multi-Tenancy design framework required for multi client support. The long term goal is to provide this solution to clients as SAAS

- High Availability for rapid development

- Significant Experience in systemising business processes

- Clear English communication

- Comprehension of business practices and processes

- Comprehension of medium complexity in business to business invoicing and crediting

- Ability to provide creative input to improve the automation and function of the solution

Preferred Experience:

- Accounting, Book keeping or financial systems experience

- SAAS development

- Enterprise level database solutions

- General business administration and management (Business Logic)

- Lightswitch and/or Code on Time

At this moment we are reviewing development in LightSwitch, Code on Time, or similar for there ability to allow us to make tweaks in house as required to expedite development and quickly add new reports / functionality in house as required. We are thinking of this as a stage 1 user interface, proof of concept tool, not sure if it will be our long term solution so still open to alternative development paths but experience with these tools is a benefit.

The selected FreeLancer will be provided with a stage 1 project to prove there ability to deliver what we are looking for, the full project will only be awarded if we are happy with the initial solution provided.

We are looking to make a start on this over the Christmas break, availability to start immediately and work on this fulltime through to completion will be preferred. Long term development support is also desirable.

Payment arrangement by negotiation, we would prefer the best than the cheapest. Preference is for agreed cost for delivery of functional solution by stages.
