Guidelines for Excel project:
I would like several double y-axis charts that can be created by selecting inputs from a series of drop down menus, the data for the dropdown menus will be refreshed on a weekly basis and will the charts need to be flexible enough to allow for new data measures to be added periodically.
The purpose of the graphs is to report sales measures for a branded drink manufacturer.
The best way to demonstrate what I require is by looking through the attached spreadsheet.
I would like to produce graphs like the one on the 'Juiced graph' and 'Juiced graph 2' tabs by selecting from some or all of the following inputs:
Select measure (left hand axis)
Select measure (right hand axis)
On the 'Juiced data selection' tab you'll see the above list in the 'Topline data selection tabs' column, along with a selection of options on 'Data selection tab options' column that a user can choose from taking inputs from 'Juiced data 'and then example columns with the selections that a user would have been required to make to create 'Juiced graph' and 'Juiced graph 2' tabs.
You'll see that 'Juiced graph' uses data from 'Juiced data' and then 'Juiced graph 2' requires the aggregation of data contained in the 'Juiced data' tab.
I would like you to create a graph for each data tab, so 'Juiced data', 'TOF data', 'Plain data, 'Evian data', 'Baodit data' and 'Total data' with each graph being created by the user selecting from the various drop down inputs relating the each 'data' tab. The data is refreshed every week, the number of weeks does not change, i.e. the weeks are taken on a rolling basis, but the data relating to each column may change as new products are introduced to the market. The data labels for the drop down inputs in the top row will not change, the weeks names will change as a new week comes in and the oldest week goes out, but there will always be 52 weeks.
If possible I would also like the selection available from each tab to be limited by the users selection in the prior tab. For example, for 'Juiced data' if the user selects 'Feel Good Drink' as the brand then, they'll be limited to the Sizes available for Feel Good Drinks.
For the graph, I'd like the right hand axis measures to be dotted (as in both Juiced graph examples). When the graph has product level data (e.g. in Juiced Graph), I would like the products measures to be in the same colour but one in a solid line for the left axis and a dotted line for the right axis.
