Project Description

Seeking technical design sketches for a new wedding shoe line.

Designers are invited to submit technical drawings for “Classic” style wedding shoes to be included in a new line of wedding shoes. Five to ten designs will be selected to be included in the line. Accepted designs will be compensated at $25 per sketch. If you are interested in the project please submit a link to your portfolio along with a draft design.

The shoes must fit the “Classic” wedding style as described below. The design should be for a comfortable shoe with heels no higher than 4”. No platform shoes. Submissions MUST be technical drawings, including all necessary details- material used, heel height, color, and all measurements.

Classic style: The “Classic” wedding is very traditional, with glamour and drama in the aesthetics. The bride would be wearing a classic white A-Line dress or ball gown with a train and a long tulle veil, with the groom in a black tuxedo. The venue would be a country club or the Grand Ballroom at a hotel. A string orchestra or quartet plays at the reception. The wedding favors would be expensive and traditional- silver cufflinks, pearl earrings. The bride and groom would drive to the reception in a classic car.

The shoes for this event need to be classy, understated and high quality. No flashy prints or outrageous colors. The star here is the bride- the shoes should accentuate the beauty of the woman and her wedding gown, not be overpowering.
