Looking to have a filemaker database designed for us for our field service technicians. The software will operate on our Mac desktop but the entry will typically be entered in via IPad and iPhone using Filemaker go. The database will collect customer data such as name, address, phone number, equipment information and have sections for pictures and technician notes. Need the ability to print a PDF form/report to give to customer. Need signature capture.
Here are my thoughts about this database. From the Technicians perspective they are going to be using the product on Filemaker Go via Ipad. I am thinking to have the database form tabbed.

Customer Tab - Customer Details (Name, Address, Phone, Email, Alternate Phone).

Equipment Tab - Would like to have the ability to collect information on multiple pieces of equipment.
Need to collect Manufacture, Model, Serial Number and Possibly a picture of the equipment.

Technician Tab - Which has a drop down for the technician name. Technician notes. Multi-line. Multiple picture containers with a place by each picture to name and describe each picture.

Invoice Tab: Would have multiple lines for Parts needed: Quantity, item number, description, price, extended price, taxable, These items would export to a invoice report.

Customer Notes Tab - Not sure if this is possible but I would like the ability to select pre-made text that would display on the printable PDF/Invoice Form that would be emailed or printed to the Custom Report. This text would be additional customer tips and help based on the problem. For example if they are having battery issues the technician could select the text that would have battery charging tips and this would display on their report/Invoice.

Help tab - Which would have tabs within it to give our technicians help on certain equipment. I can put this information together and add it in myself as long as the tab is there.

On the printable/email report I would like to have a serialized work order number. Customer Information, Equipment Information, Technician notes, Images. All of these I would only like to display when information is entered. I don't want a bunch of blank sections. I hope this is enough information to get you started. I have 5-6 other projects for you, if this one goes well. I'm very excited to see what you come up with.
