Project Description

What I need or require:
Basically, we need a simple lightweight "web app" in flash (example like this: [url removed, login to view] ) to help standardize the quality of our tshirt design submissions from user. The app will be embedded on our Design Submissions page found here: [url removed, login to view]

Users will have to be registered and logged in to use the app and submit designs.

To do this, i was thinking of having a flash app that sort of mimic what you can do with a tshirt mock-up template kit on photoshop.

You can view a sample of how some of these templates function in psd here: [url removed, login to view]

But rather than handing out psd templates for people to learn to use and screw up the process and submit some design mock up not to our spec that will appear weird or warped on our voting page, I figured if we do an app for everyone to use this will in turn help standardize the submissions process and make sure there's no designs mock ups submitted in weird resolution or overly strange layout.

The end product or output should be something like this below, a flat image file, like jpg, where it will be a composite view of the Design Image in the background, The Model view ontop to show the Design Placement on the tshirt, and it should give a summary info about the design and shirt, such as colors used (max 6 permissible), shirt color for guy and girl (sometimes they can differ), Name of Design, Name of Designer (UserId), where from, a brief description of design.

We will take this composite image and info and put it up as a new item on our voting page for people to start voting.

(Please view [url removed, login to view] for idea of how the final product/output should be)

Apart from the Composite Image, during the process the User would have also created/submitted the following items to us:

1). Design Image
2). Design Placement on Tshirt & Model Images
4). Combined Image

So we can enable people to have the following views

1). Design View
2). Tshirt View
3). Model View
4). Combined View (Combined View will only show either Model or Tshirt Mockup ontop of the Design Image background, whichever they choosed in the setup process as their Mock-Up template of choice).

Tshirt Colors:

Range of Tshirt Colors can be found here:
Guys: [url removed, login to view]
Girls: [url removed, login to view]

Users can only select shirt colors from the above options and blend the design against the shirt colors provided.

An example of an flash app that does this can be found here:

Be sure to check out the video on the Pro version which has got a few nifty features (like reset option) and more tshirt templates to mock up against, which is exactly what we're allowing here... for users to mock up on a flat shirt template, a "puffed" shirt template, and a model template and choose one as their primary mock up template to layer over the design image to form that final Combined view aka composite image.

I've also attached a copy of the word Doc. which will explain things in a bit more detail which I do not have a chance to do so over this email.

Ok that's about it. Let me if you can do this and how long you might take. Once the app is done, our developer will help integrate it into the back end and front end of our site.

Keep it simple. Keep it light. So it work fast. Easy to use. Take less time to build and cost less.

I hope the above helps :)

Do bear in mind that we're a startup building a web service trying to support charitable causes and running on a shoe string budget so we're very tight on cash.

Thanks for helping! :)
