I currently am remodeling my client's static website. My client is an established and respected local building contractor.
Project.
My client wants an affordable but classy-looking [no whiz-bang graphics], flash-based intro page. My client is NOT in to loud percussion and strobe-lights – like those seen in numerous flash intros these days. If you only produce intro pages of this latter type, please do not bid on this contract. Include with your bid samples of comparable work you have done.
Features.
• To be used w/Studio 8 on Windows XP and Mac OS X platforms
• He wants a flash intro page in which specific ‘objects' appear on screen from off-stage.
• These objects include the company name and types of construction [residential, commercial/industrial, dental, medical], tastefully alternating with images [provided] of buildings he has completed or renovated, as well as construction options available [skylights, seismic upgrades, t-bar ceiling modifications, floor repairs, fire corridors, structural repairs, sound walls].
• Intro must not be a memory hog – no waiting for the page to load.
• Built-in ‘skip', ‘volume control' and ‘replay' options preferable [although sound accompaniment not important].
• If affordable, an optional non-flash version is desirable.
Example.
I have reviewed with my client samples of flash intro templates such as those at Template Monster. He says most of them are too loud and crass for his tastes. Template #9182, [login to view URL], is an OK example of the kind of end-product he is looking for – except that the subject-matter would be his construction company and its product line, rather than cameras.
Deliverables.
• Swf, fla and html files for use in a DreamWeaver 8 static website
• All graphics/images used in them
[All images and graphics used other than those supplied by me must either be original or assignable for my client's unlimited use.]
It is possible that, if my client likes this intro page, he'll want to extend its design elements throughout the website. If so, this would be a separate contract.
Desired Timeline:
• 12 April 2006. Bidding to conclude at 8:00A PST.
• 12 April 2006. Award contract – submit images to programmer.

• 17 April 2006. Final demo to be supplied on programmer's server by Job 8:00A PST.
• 17 April 2006. If demo is acceptable, programmer sends deliverables and job is completed.

Thank you.
