We have created a great app which brings to life the finances behind the top premier league football clubs. This is based on sophisticated and unique analysis of the financial accounts of all the English Premier League clubs.
It's live in the Android Play store. There is loads of interesting information to see whether money buys success in the Premier League. And how best to spend that money, if you were a club owner. Fans will love the app.
The pdf gives you some idea of how it works, but there is animation and motion in the app, so if you want to see the full app, you can find it in the Play store. [url removed, login to view]
BUT, here is our issue. Apple store has rejected the app because it is 'not interactive enough' - "it's too much like a movie or a book" they say. There are about 15 scenes, each exploring a different aspect of footy finance. We use info graphics to bring each to life. The user can then click for a more detailed graph, comparing all the clubs.
What's clear is that we really understand football and finance. Users like the unique information and fun facts. But we have less experience of what makes an app that Apple will approve. So your challenge is to give us ideas for UI design, interaction design, etc - for how we can get users interacting more with the data, interacting with the infographics, to create a compelling interactive user experience, that Apple will approve for the app store.
