Project Description

The Concept: So as to remain confidential we'll call the small base that I'm doing the design for: ROGER12. At ROGER12 other than being your average FOB, it is located at the base of a mountain. People can climb this mountain every Friday. This base is known for that fact. We also have ATV's and dirt bikes that are used for patrol missions available to operate. There are bikes available to ride. We have people who hike the smaller mountain ridges as well. And last but not least, transportation to and from this base is via helicopter. On this shirt we want the base to look fun (even though it clearly isn't that fun, being in Afghanistan and all!) and to advertise atv, bike, and hiking trials. Mountain climbing, and helicopter rides! And the typography on the shirt could say something like ROGER12 outdoor adventures. Feel free to use a theme from somewhere else, like Cabela's Outdoor Adventures, or something that already exist. But if you use something like this let me know otherwise the idea may be lost on me.

Design Ideas: So as not to limit the designer I'll just give you an overview of what was requested of me. The design should be funny, and simple. Composition is a big thing, if you can have something that draws the eye because it stands out, or appears to be coming out of the shirt, that would g over great. For example, the image of an atv rider slinging mud so that it looks as if it's on the shirt. Or the mountain climber climbing up the shirt using shadow enhancement or halftone so that it looks as if a shadow of a person is using your shirt to hang onto.

Specs: The image needs to be 12x14. Because it will be screen printed It can have no more than seven colors in the design. Please create it in Illustrator so that the images are vectorized and save the different colored layers separately in a PSD file. In case I need to make changes and I deal only with photoshop. Whatever fonts you use in the design, I'll need them when we're done. I also recommend you having examples of shirts you've done similar, as this may expedite my choosing you.
