This project encompasses several aspects, but each of which are actually quite straight forward as none of them are starting from a fresh - I have tried to get as far as I can without designer skills to help make it easier for a designer. Again, I will go through each component individually for ease and clarity.
(i) Logo alterations.
- I have a logo design that a friend of mine threw together for me. The name of the game is going to be Vision, an the logo is quite straight forward in its design (its a big V with vision written in the middle (see the attached image). However, I want to change it so it ties in better with the images you have provided for me. I have made some comments on the image below to indicate what type of thing I mean.
Below is an image of what I mean for the neon effect to use on the font.
The final component is a website background and a couple of content box backgrounds. I have already done a very very rough site based on a very simple design I thought would be good, so all the size and shape of content box's and the background is pretty much fixed. So I am essentially just looking to get a background and box backgrounds to match the tron style design of the game.
So for the actual background, I want it to have a design at the top in the header, and a design at the bottom above the footer, in-betwen I wanted to blur it to a solid color so that I can easily make the page bigger/smaller without having to change your design. I thought at the top in the header we could do something like the dev art image, but maybe include some of the obstacle/platform tiles and a player tile with the shadow tile so it kind of looks like an enlarged still image of the game. Obviously, I will be putting the logo in the middle at the top of the page, but on either side of that I wanted to have a small box (as part of the background) so that I could add some buttons to where to buy the game - see the images below. I then thought we could blur the grid into a plain color for the middle of the background, then at the bottom, we could blur back into the grid for a tiny bit just above the footer band. I also thought we could have the player and obstacles just above the footer so it again looks like a enlarged screenshot.
As for the content box backgrounds, they are simple boxes; there is a trailer&screenshots box bg which house a sidereel - I like the design of this box and just wanted to incorporate the tron style to it; perhaps a glowing border - I am open to your input.
Below that is a simple area of three plain content boxes - again its just a case of giving them a glowing border. Finally, there is a follow us banner - again its just a case of doing a glowing border except with some of the tiles and then giving a glowing effect to some social icons.
