Project Description

We need a number of backgrounds and elements for 5 Flash video games. These games are designed to help language students learn common vocabulary in a foreign language. Each of the games is designed and played in exactly the same way. Each game teaches approximately 20 words of vocabulary. Please refer to the attached images.

Although the example images show a 3D scene that was done mostly in Studio Max, you may decide to do all the work in Illustrator or Photoshop . We are more interested in the visual beauty of your design rather than than requiring that it be 3D. In other words, a beautifully drawn 2D scene is totally acceptable.

[url removed, login to view] shows the game background this case we are teaching vocabulary associated with items found in a household kitchen. You will notice that most of the common kitchen items (stove, fridge, sink,etc) are missing from the background image.

[url removed, login to view] shows what the game looks like when the user loads it. In the top, left corner is a video of the teacher saying a word from the vocabulary this case "table". The vocabulary word "table" also appears in text immediately below the video player. The position of this teacher video player and text is the same in every game.

Along the bottom, in a horizontal carousel of images, are images of all the items found in the vocabulary list. You will see that there is an image of a table in the center of this carousel. When the player clicks on the image of the table, it is removed from the carousel and appears in its correct place in the background ( it is floating on a layer above the background image)...then the next random word in the vocabulary list is said by the teacher and the game continues. You can see this in image 3.jpg. If the player clicks the wrong item in the carousel, nothing happens.

The game ends when all items have been correctly which point the horizontal carousel of images disappears and the scene is completely filled with the correct items in the correct places. Items that are overlaid on the background image during the game must not overlap each other as the layering order will be random.

The size of the background is 750px wide X 650px high.

The winning bidder will be required to provide the following for each game:

An empty background image of the scene in jpg or png.

An image for each object in the vocabulary list, that will be overlaid on the background image. These must be sized and cropped to be size optimized and so they do not overlap other items from the list.. These must be png files.

An image for each object in the vocabulary list, that will be placed in the horizontal carousel. These must be close to, but no larger than 130px wide by 115px high.
