I am a writer. I have lots of topics that I'm interested in, and will potentially write about. I track these topics via 'saved searches' on Twitter, Topsy, and Google (News / search). It's all a bit time consuming.
What I need is a clear and easy way of seeing these topics, on a web page.
I want to be able to group topics together, but also to see them all in a 'river of news'.
Ideally, I'd want to apply weightings to content types (some topics / source are more important than others).
I'm open to ideas in terms of how this is put together, but essentially we need to take feeds (or use APIs, now that Twitter has killed off RSS) and create a clean and highly user-friendly presentation layer to display them. There will need to be a few management tools too.
This will be some kind of hybrid of an online RSS reader (but smarter), [url removed, login to view] (but with more visible headlines), NewsNow (a nice river of news), Twitter (fast updates, low detail) and Google News (smart groupings).
It is a small personal project with a small budget, so only bid if the job appeals and you can quickly patch something together. By all means PM to discuss.
Copy and paste applications with no reference to the project will be ignored.
