Project Scope : To extend the functionality of an existing Kiosk type project. Developed in Android Studio. The Device is a Sony Xperia Z1 running Android 5.0.2 it is not rooted. No SIM card will be inserted. WIFI hotspot only is being used. The home launcher application runs webview with 1 default URL only. Requirements to add to application. Stop or Auto Dismiss Tether error on hotspot power up. Automatically obtain IP address of hotspot client. Display locally stored image if webview URL connection error. if communication with client is lost. Display a local stored image and auto refresh until connection established. Set volume to maximum allowed. Enable Play Sound file (mp3) from remote URL and in webview. Power button Menu Remove everything except, power off & restart. Disable Camera button. Disable Volume control. Disable immersion mode swipe down action from displaying status and other buttons. 5 quick screen taps. Bring up dialog for password entry box if password OK. Configure WI-FI hotspot settings configuration screen. and destination URL to be displayed. Note: The successful coder will be required to sign a non disclosure agreement.
