Project Description

I require a piece of vector artwork.

The artwork will show a train moving along the top of an intercity map. It will be as if the train is moving on the surface of the map and is creating ripples within the map. I have attached a very crude graphical description of my requirements. There are 3 main components: train, map and ripples

Train related

Train – drawn at a slight angle giving a 3D effect. It should be a modern high speed type train, not a tram, steam engine, freight…etc. The direction of train travel is ‘out of the page’, i.e. towards the reader.

Map related

Must be of an American town city centre

Map image must be generic and royalty free – do not use my example

Map image should appear to have depth (i.e. a 3d effect rather than a flat 2d one). Perhaps this could be done by stretching the image.

Details and color fading with distance (bottom to top)

Ripple related

Ripple effect starting at train wheels and ripple sizes increasing with distance from wheels, and frequency decreasing (like a water ripple when you dip your finger in). The ripples should seem as if they are propagating through the map, almost like the map is attached to the surface of the water.

The ripples must be very visible. Perhaps there will be about 4-5 of them.

All art work must be royalty free (including map image)

Work must be in color

Adobe illustrator must be used as I may need to edit. Photo editing software (photoshop) can be used to create the map image if necessary. If so, general instructions of how to repeat this process will be included.

Size – about h600 x w400 pixels
