Project Description

I'm looking for someone who can create an animation/stop animation that I will use as part of my proposal to my girlfriend! The idea in a nutshell is a very cute storyboard, either hand-drawn or computer illustrated that tells the story of our relationship so far, paints a picture of our shared hobbies and interests, and builds up to the all-important question. I would supply an audio track which would effectively dictate the pace of the scenes within the animation (something in the region if 5-10 seconds per scene).

Edit: Can I just stress, the importance for me is the story telling through the illustrations, rather than the emphasis being on the animation side. I'm looking for something clean and minimalist in style, that is also unique and shows that thought and care has gone into it. Thus far I've had a lot of bids from 'sausage-machine' animation studios, which is absolutely not what I'm after. My preference would be to work with a sole trader who I can liaise with directly.

I would like this to be an extremely collaborative project, where we can talk often and bounce ideas back and forth off of each other. Initially, we have a brainstorm/scoping session where you can gather all that you need to know and we agree how the animation might be structured. Your personality is as important as your skill - I'd like to work with someone who doesn't see this as 'just another' project, and is committed to making something truly special. Given that my own background is graphic design, I'll always be conscious of not being a nightmare client, but would like to feel included in the creative process. In terms of deadline, I'm very open to discussion and ensuring both parties are happy.

If you're thinking of bidding on this project, please could you ensure that you have a portfolio/work samples that demonstrate the required skills for this brief. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Many thanks,
