Project Description

Hello I am setting up a small venture called Ideamonger for which I need a logo designed to be delivered on high quality vector files that I can use across the board for print, web etc. both on transparent, white & black backgrounds.

The definition of an ideamonger is 'a person who originates and deals in ideas.'(1830-40)

I already have a strong idea of what I want and am uploading key sample files which should give a strong steer. I would like to convey the traditional trader/dealer character that comes across in the word 'monger' (ironmonger, fruitmonger, fishmonger) along with the local community feeling it conveys whilst also feeling fresh and modern.

I like the futura font (condensed) in capitals for the name IDEAMONGER because it conveys this modernity yet classicism.

For the STYLE of the illustration around the title, see image 'butcher'. I would like a 40s/50s style cartoon 'monger' character - probably easier to picture a butcher with apron, bow tie, rosey cheeks and a big smile looking into camera with both hands resting on a solid counter before him, like he's open for business.

For the COMPOSITION of the illustration (the position of the butcher in the frame) see 'butcher 2'. NB. I do not want any of the background meat etc. you see in the photo. The end logo will be simply the (torso) figure of the butcher plus counter plus name on a transparent background. I would like someone who can draw the guy in 'butcher' into the pose in 'butcher 2' then add the text.

IDEAMONGER could be stencilled into the counter infront of him, joining up the space between his hands. Mainly black and white but possibly small amounts of colour. See 'picture 2' for a very simple jpeg I did in photoshop.

My idea is quite specific but I am also open to suggestions from someone who gets the drift of what I am after.

If someone can work this into a 3-4 second video sting somehow that would be an added bonus but at this stage is not a requirement.
