Project Budget$30 - $80 USD
My client needs documentation of a software using [url removed, login to view] software (semi-automatic documentation tool - free and very easy to use/work with) and a
website that currently starts with "Welcome to the world" and needs to be re-written to "we own the world,. want to join us?"
Seriously: The website itself has obviously more content to it,. but we are only concerned with the homepage. Other pages are tables of versions etc,. so
nothing that requires a re-write.
1. Documenting using Dr.Explain.
2. Rewrite a homepage of the software with enthusiastic selling, praising, challenging, attention grabbing words of wisdom ("yada yada yada...", Seinfeld)
English proficiency - USA.
Technical background - knowledge of "internet lingo', FTP, Logs, Cron Jobs, Task Scheduler, DNS, IIS, IP Address, Web Hosting.
Technical writing skills - for the documentation
The software deals with Backup and Restore for web hosting services.
You must have a PayPal account - You will be required to test the registration of the software (will cost $[url removed, login to view] - you will be reimbursed -
you may need to re-download it several times - but again, it is just $[url removed, login to view] each time).
The website part is just a one page project.
You already going to see the current text in it, and it has most if not all the information you might need.
You only need to reorganize it,. add selling words, Exciting, Must Have, Easy, Simple, Fast, Flexible, 1-2-3, Learn-Try-Buy and other wonderful
encouraging words that will make the clients eyes sparkle with joy when they talk about the software.
BUT be careful to read all the technical features the software has and make sure you don't add 'phantom non-existing' features.
It is what it is.
The website is just one page. Written smartly of course, but still just one page, so with edits etc,. I don't see it pushing the 2 days limit (maybe another
night to 'sleep it over' and coming with some brilliant ideas the next morning).
The [url removed, login to view] available to download from: [url removed, login to view] is where you can get the software. will prob take you about 3 more days to get
familiar and actually complete the task of documentation (it is really not that complicated software to document).
Please do not contact me outside of [url removed, login to view] before you are awarded the project.
I will answer any question you may have on the [url removed, login to view] chat/PM system.
