I'm looking for a phone consultation to guide me in repairing my local IDE connection to a remote MySQL database. Primarily you will be instructing me with Linux commands to see if the connection error is occurring on the server or within DW. My linux server is CentOS 6.4 and all of the mysql, apache, proftpd, php and supporting libraries are kept current stable releases with automatic nightly updates (no RCs or BETA releases)... Should be fairly straight-forward for the grand master IT admin specializing in linux servers. DW always connected with the remote db just fine up until about 2 weeks ago when several events happened that I am at least aware of: 1) apache released new versions 2)mysql released new versions 3) linus kernel upgrade 4) installed 3rd party extension to DW called Dependent DropLists / TCNmenus. I'm budgeting this at [url removed, login to view] for a successful connection between DW and remote MySQL. I would also pay [url removed, login to view] if the problem cannot be solved but at least identified for me to continue wrestling with it. Right now I'm beat.
