I have recently downloaded the WEB DATA Extraction Tool for Microsoft Excel in order to download data from web pages. I use this for getting certain information every 30 minutes - every 30 seconds and then once the information is downloaded, it then needs to be sorted and the important data needs to be copied to a separate page where it can be displayed in specific columns which makes analysis and calculation of the important data very easy.
All of the above can be done by Excel, but I need to find a programmer who is good at writing Excel VB code in order that the above actions can be automated or at least semi-automated. The reason I say semi-automated is because the Web-page where the data I need can be found is changed every day. However, once the destination web-page is reset, the actions needed to be every day are exactly the same, i.e. downloading the data to my spreadsheet, sorting and extracting the important information to a separate page where it is arrange in columns for analysis and calculation.
I therefore want to hear from a programmer who is good at writing VB Excel code in order for me to be able to automate or at least semi-automate the necessary actions I wish to perform with the WEB DATA Tool in Excel. Please also contact me if you can suggest an alternative method that achieves the same result. The advantage of using Excel is that everything is already there and it only needs to be automated.
