IMPORTANT: Only bid if you have worked with PDF libraries before (we awarded the project already to someone and he failed). We want professional work and are willing to pay the price. The provided budget is just a rough estimate. Feel free to post your bids even if they are higher.
We want a Java PDF reader integrated into our open source software Docear. Docear is a mind mapping software for researchers ([url removed, login to view]) and we want the PDF reader to be able to 1) display PDFs and 2) allow the user to create bookmarks, comments and highlight text. In addition, the PDF reader must be able to open a PDF on a certain position where a bookmark/comment/highlighted text points to.
Before you bid, please read the detailed specifications in the attached PDF file. In you bid, please tell us which of the optional features you would implement. And let us know how long you would approximately need to complete the project. Please also let us know which PDF library you would use to realize the project. PDF Box is not an option!!! It does not display all PDFs correctly. Also, the PDF library does not have to be open source (also this would be highly preferred). If we had to, we would also pay for a non-open source PDF library.
If you have any questions, please drop us a message and we will answer as soon as possible.
