Project Description

I have a POS system and labeling system designed for retail. It's been in test for 3 years now in a large multi-till environment.

I'm looking for someone to fix a bug. The suite of programs are all built on open-source technologies.

The system back end is MySQL, we have a custom middle end operating over TCP to the server. I require a programmer who knows Java, is comfortable with Threads, Concurrency, Databases. Any skills in sockets wouldn't hurt. We use a vast array of Java libraries to accomplish the tasks, which are too numerous to mention here.

The current fix is to sort out a some reporting functions that are not working as expected. The ideal programmer for this task will be looking to get involved, eventually taking some equity in the project itself. So this would suit a Brit programmer with a lot of time on his/her hands, and who is looking to invest into something.I have a preference for British programmers as for the aforementioned reasons.

Any questions please PM me.
