I need a Java module that is capable of sending a buy or sell order to Etrade.
This has been attempted by two other developers, neither of whom got it 100% correct.
The problem is that the API sends a message that says that the order was accepted,
but if you go into the account itself, there is no pending order.
The expected outcome of this project is to be able to make an order and to see that order in the account.
There will be no data input from the user. The stock and the buy price (or sell price) will be hard coded.
The long term objective is to run a desktop application that makes buy and sell decisions based on stock prices
and account information. This module is one piece of that.
Attached is the most recent source that accesses the Etrade account and balance information.
The project must be done in Java to be consistent with the rest of the application.
There is an existing application that solved the part of getting the API to accept the transaction. It is written in VB .Net.
I will provide you a copy if you need. It does not solve the problem of getting the order into the account where it can be
processed. That is your project.
I know this is a complicated project so I can be flexible on budgets and timelines as long as I get what I want at the end.
If you don't already have the login credentials, I will provide them to the winning bidder.
