Project Description

I need someone to build me a nice looking GUI to track inventory and parts/services.

The GUI needs to have a table/grid which is filterable by typing in words to quickly gauge inventory status. It also needs to highlight rows in either red or yellow if current quantity is near the target level. Red if the current quantity is below the target level.

Users must be able to add new Inventory items and new service items to the grid. Please display the result in the gid, as well as give a demonstration of the newly created item as a JSON object (for future web connectivity).

I've attached examples of what fields are needed, etc. but would appreciate any creativity you can bring to the table in terms of making the GUI user friendly and intuitive.

Also, the inventory will need a barcode ID field so barcodes can be scanned into the system, or created on the fly by the system (which will be printed).

No need to tie to any sort of web service, etc for now but eventually this is how it will work.

More work to follow if this goes well! We will add onto it over time, so build the GUI with expansion in mind. Also, eventually a barcode scanner will be incorporated into this project.

Please provide examples of GUI's you have made in Java in the past.
