Project Description

As a professional gambler I require a quick way to access odds and place bets without loading up the required broker's website. There are two websites I utilize for placing bets on Australian Horse Racing:

I am an amateur programmer in Java and MySQL but my skills are not sufficient for this project. What I will need you to design are Java libraries that allow me to do a few things:

1. Scan both websites APIs, find the same events across both API and input this data into a MySQL database

2. Scan the MySQL database for betting criteria

3. Be able to place a bet on both websites without having to login to their pages

Ultimately I will use the library to select an event from the MySQL database, select amount that I want bet and at which site I would like the bet placed. So long as what you develop can allow me to do that it will meet my current needs.

The libraries should be sufficiently easy to use

I know that the Betfair (free) API will allow you to place bets as well as search for events. Details can be located at:

I am uncertain as to whether or not you can use the TAB API to place bets. Information the their API can be found at:

If it cannot be used to place bets, bets would probably be easiest placed through their expressed bet system at:

A development time of less than one month would be highly favorable.
