We are in need of a developer to create a Java servlet that makes JDBC transactions to a mysql database
Our DB has 2 tables with only a handful of attributes. In short, it is an extremely simple schema.
We need two java webservices:
Service 1: Will accept an HTTP request, run a query against table1, run through a simple condition and then INSERT a log request into table2, then return a response to the application originating the HTTP request with a "status"
Service 2: Will accept an HTTP request, and run and do an INSERT into table 1.
No third party frameworks (example: no persistence frameworks like hybernate or spring are permitted for this development).
You can use standard libraries from the JDK.
You can use standard j2ee servlet APIs.
This app will run on Tomcat server.
We use GIT and GITHub and require you to checkin and commit code through this system. we have a best practice document to detail our policies.
We will want proper commenting using standard javaDoc
Familiarity with Amazon cloud is a plus. If you have such experience and can deploy the app to our AWS instance that is running Linux, please include the time/cost as an additional line item.
Tomcat: [url removed, login to view]
We will have complete spec upon acceptance. We need to begin development next monday and need a fairly quick turnaround.

I developed similar software for curl requests that is sent from PHP to a tomcat server that reads and updates my sql tables using the JDBC interface (no spring...)
