Project Description

Our native Android app is being converted to a non-native web app in HTML/CSS/JS/jQM accessible through browser. We are still far from the smoothness and robustness of the native Android app. Some challenges are page transition with swipe gesture (swiping from one element to the next or previous) and offline caching (maybe also for DB and graphs).

We are not looking for a simple website; our project is not about a website but an application with graphs, charts, DB, user inputs etc. We are not interested in simple page transitions for simple pages; we already have that. Instead we need page transitions via swipegesture which are robust and smooth for pages containing graphs (and if possible run on older platforms aswell).

We are therefore looking for companies well aware of the latest evolutions and understanding the difference between "sometimes working on specific Android phones" versus "smoothly working on many smartphone platforms (and definitely Android)". You need to have several (new and old) Android and other smartphones at your disposal for testing (we're not interested if you only have 1 Android phone for testing). Compatibility (smoothness, stable) has a higher priority for our project than rich animation.

In other words, you have to improve the existing HTML/CSS/JS/jQM code especially in terms smoothness. For this step we prefer no framework like Phonegap (unless you can still make the application accessible through browser).

Above all your way of working and quality in all processes - also communication and planning - will be crucial to get selected for a collaboration. A call with questions (selection procedure) will be one of the next steps if you are interested to explore this project further. Please only apply if you have enough bandwidth and if are used to high quality requirements. To this end please send references which use swipegesture.
