Hello Flash wizard, we are a small/medium advertising agency with medium/big agency dreams. We have some tech people, but this project is a little outside their skill set. That's where you come in.
We host our clients' videos on YouTube and a lot of the time they get embedded on this little thing called Facebook. We like to know how much people like our videos and use Google Analytics to figure that out. However, FB embed's our video's as .swf videos (we use html5 iframes everywhere else) which don't fire our (or our client's third party) tracking scripts/pixels! I know, right.
We want you to build a small web app that will allow us to enter the following information:
-YouTube Video ID
-Google Analytics ID
-1-5 additional third party pixels
-The URL of an image (~30x50 pixels) that will sit in the boarder above the video and link to (below)
-An external URL
and dynamically generate a flash object that is hosted on a microsite (with appropriate metatags). Oh yeah. We'll be using your code as a small part of a bigger platform we will be building in a few weeks, but that shouldn't really change anything on your end (I think, let me know).
You'll have to structure the YouTube API call in such a way that views increment on YouTube, but we have a lot of experience with that and will be able to help you make sure it will work. You will also be responsible for making sure that everything works across browsers and mobile devises (let me know how you plan on dealing with iOS). There are a few other minor specifications about the graphics we want surrounding the player (don't worry, we have graphics people who will making those) and our analytics, but if you can do the above, it will be a breezy.
Yep, that's it. I believe they call this easy money.
Preference will be given to developers with demonstrated ability in this arena and immediate availability.
I look forward to working with you.
