Google Maps slicing expert

I've got a single image which is having issues with "map bouncing" IE as certain parts of the world are displayed ( china / africa ) the existing ovelay... jumps a world-map over. Consequently removing it from the current map tile being viewed.

Ideally 2 things:

1) You can confirm that the issue I'm having with "map bouncing" is caused by using a single (huge) overlay.

2) It will be fixed by slicing these images into tiles.

Heres the particular application I'm working with:

[url removed, login to view]

As you can see as you drag the google maps view over towards say, china, the ovelay jumps to the next world-map ... ( as you know google maps tiles in the X-axis )

Map bouncing...change your javascript map lib. Going from google maps javascript to another JS lib doesn't mean you can't use the google maps API providing underlying world tiles.
