Project Description

The Advance Interview website requires a video recording feature using a webcam. It will be similar to [url removed, login to view] whereby the duration of recording can be restricted. The recorded video output must be able to be uploaded to video hosting providers such as YouTube and Vimeo. In terms of technology, it should be browser-based using HTML5 in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Internet Explorer. If older versions of the browser don't support HTML5, then Adobe Flash is to used. So there's some browser feature detection to be done. Red5 media server is to be used on the server-side. This webcam component should be modularalised using JavaScript such that it integrates with a Java EE backend. The end result will be that the recorded video can be embedded on the Advanced Interview website for playback. It needs to be developed using Spring MVC web framework and Java 7 running on the OpenShift cloud server by Red Hat. The application server will be Tomcat 7 or JBoss Enterprise Web Server 2.0.
