Joomla QHorizontal Scroller module adjust thumbnail images

I am using the Joomla QHorizontal Scroller module:

[url removed, login to view]

It is working great, but I have added white space to the left and right of most images so that the module doesn't stretch the images to fit the dimensions and distort it. This has worked well, except the thumbnail images are now showing lots of the white space, because it appears to be capturing the very left part of the image (which often includes lots of white space). I am looking to capture the thumbnail from the middle of the main image, and not the left hand side. This should be something really straightforward (most probably modifying the javascript) to capture the middle part of the image, and not the left.

I am not looking to pay much for this (wouldn't be expecting more than $10), as I believe this to be a very quick and simple fix.
