I have a running AddOn for FF and Chrome. Under special conditions, this AddOn modifies the Proxy Settings of the browser. When proxying, my own proxy server is used, without any authorization.
The AddOn actually has no user settable parameters.
The Addon has to be changed, to allow transparent use of basic auth. With transparent, I mean, the user should not be aware of the authorization process. This should be possible to inspect the received page in the background, and to do the auth automatically.
Authorization parameters (user/pwassword) should have default values, but should also be modifiable by the user. So some small config window has to be implemented into the AddOn.
Qualified bidders will receive more detailed info, especially the source code of the existing AddOn for FF and Chrome, to refine their bids.
Both versions of the AddOn for Firefox and Chrome, should be changed.
Changes have to be done according to Mozillas/Chromes rules for AddOns: No leaking Globals etc.
Final payment only after acceptance by Mozilla.
