A simple trade signals app for all phone OS that reads the data from a SQL Azure database. The database is a single table with a simple query by date (the storedproc is already written). Need to display 5 columns of data (Signal, Position, Open, Close, P&L). Users need to be authenticated by SQL Azure so username and password screen is required. User then selects date from dropdown/calendar widget which triggers the storedproc to retrieve the data. Default date is today. Finally, I'd like push notification when data changes.
This link to Microsoft will give a good impression of the type and style of app as well as the suite of powerful tools that are ready "out-of-the-box" using SQL Azure back end and other MS Windows components: [url removed, login to view] There's even some sample code you could use? This project is very much simpler than the Microsoft sample.
Since the data resides in an Azure SQL, the interface for the data (as well as other features like push notification) are all available "out of the box" from Microsoft - [url removed, login to view] A developer with previous experience working with apps and SQL Azure should find this a trivial project.
