Thanks for checking this out.
The goal here is to get *clean* code for our site. That means non-core jQuery is out. Bits of JS leftover from long gone plugins or that could be loaded only for the one page it's needed on should be addressed. If you think 'the site runs' is good enough; pass on this. If you think 'I wish every site was a clean as bootstrap (or similar) then we're on the same page. If you think 'bootstrap is OK, you know what's really clean though? XYZ...' Well, ok, you get the idea and should apply.
Basically; if you subscribe to Pippin; or do a search for him and think 'exactly', then you're who we want to work with.
We host with WP Engine right now; so you'll have power galore at your disposal and a full 'test' platform for any changes you want to make on the site w/o having to impact the live site until you know it works.
The issues you'll be in charge of fixing:
a) We have old, broken, useless, code on some of our sites that needs removed.
b) We want to get some themes, or fix themes we have, but want to make sure it's good, clean,,code. You'll need to check it; or write it.
c) This is ongoing. Fixes now; new sites/features/checks in the future.
This first job is fixed; but track your hourly. Future jobs can be fixed or hourly depending on what works best for you and if we're content with the hours needed for this first job.
To keep it simple we'll have two parts to the first job:
a) Review our site: [url removed, login to view] and fix the lame JS situation. It should minify and load content as soon as possible (not the situation now) and no more scattered JS/CSS that we don't even need or is only used on one page of the site. It should also only use WP CORE for jQuery; not load any other version.
b) Update our homepage to feature some new graphics we've prepared. All the CSS and some JS is waiting to be deployed by you. You'll fix minor margin errors on our site for mobile users. Theme replacement is fine if you'd rather or see it necessary based on your thoughts on what's most effective based on time needed from (a).
...So we can honor those who've read before bidding and mark 'bid spam' on the rest; be sure to put a link to [url removed, login to view] at the top of your bid so I know you've read this far.
Thank you. We'd like to hire in the next day or two, and likely more than one coder, to try and see who is the best fit for ongoing projects.
