Project Description

The job is to make a JavaScript image slider similar to this:

[url removed, login to view]

I have attached 7 files:

[url removed, login to view] - An example of how the slider should look with nav boxes

[url removed, login to view] - [url removed, login to view] - actual images for slider use

home slide [url removed, login to view] - a zipped PSD file with layered art for the nav boxes

The boxes in the PSD are the navigation for the slider (as shown in the sample). They will need to show as filled when they are rolled over and allow the user to jump to any slide. The slider should auto start and the correct nav box should fill as each slide is shown. If any nav box is clicked, the slider should go to that image and stop. The nav boxes need to appear transparent, so the images show through, although I've provided the background images in the PSD, so you could "fake it" with little pieces of the background in the box images if you want.

It must be done with JavaScript, and frameworks are fine, with jQuery being preferred. You can reuse the code from the [url removed, login to view] site or use your own solution. This link has one possible solution and is just for reference:

[url removed, login to view]

You will need to deliver all the HTML/CSS/JavaScript files for a portable, working version of the slider. This will be going into a site using a doctype of XHTML Transitional, so the HTML should validate for that. Must work in all major browsers from IE6 up.

Needs to be complete by 6pm Pacific Time August 11.
